Counsel that knows your work and your Why.

Advance Law NW is an Oregon law practice built for organizations and the people who lead them. I started this firm because the clients I care most about — mission-driven organizations, youth sports programs, founders, directors, and boards — are too often priced out of the kind of counsel that takes time to understand them.

I work differently. Before I work on the contract, I want to know the mission. Before I draft the bylaws, I want to know the board, the staff, and the community you serve. The legal work follows from understanding what you are trying to build.

My perspective comes from experience on the other side of the table. I have led organizations, founded organizations of my own, and served on and advised boards. I know what it feels like to weigh a legal questions in stressful situations, manage a team of passionate employees, or solve a Friday night soccer emergency before Saturday's game. I bring that judgment to every engagement.

I’m Robin Bostwick. I grew up in Oregon and I've built my career here. I'm a Double Duck, with my undergrad in Sports Business and my JD both from the University of Oregon. After law school I clerked in the Lane County Circuit Court and later practiced with the Lane County Office of Legal Counsel. I then spent the next decade leading and growing youth soccer organizations in our region. I also serve as a US Soccer coach educator and served on the Executive Board of the Girls Academy League. The Northwest is where my family is, where my professional network is, and where the organizations I most want to serve are doing their best work.

Because I run a focused, low-overhead practice, my rates reflect the work — not a downtown tower, a marketing department, or a partner I have to feed billable hours to. Clients get senior attention on every matter, direct access to me, and fees that make sustained counsel realistic rather than a once-a-year crisis call.

If that sounds like the kind of partnership you've been looking for, I'd like to hear about your work!
